Not inside. Not outside. God, nowhere to be found. The moment you seek God, you are moving away from the obvious. Men and women who do not 'see' God tell you to seek God, to find God. Men and women who 'see' God may tell you the same, for you must try to find THAT nowhere to 'see' THAT is nowhere, which is to say everywhere. But, really, God is neither nowhere nor everywhere. If there is God, no whereness applies, for THAT would have no qualities, though spoken of with qualities. When will you stop seeking God, or whatever you see to be THAT, and 'see'? Stop trying to 'see,' and you will 'see' - you will see you have already been 'seeing.'
